  • Facilitate healthy relationships among the birth team
  • Serve as an intermediary between the laboring woman and hospital staff when/if needed 
  • Help you gain confidence in your birthing choices

  • Help reduce the need for a cesarean delivery by 40-60%
  • Provide clarification on the myths verses the facts of birthing in hospital OR home
  • Help guide and support the partner's participation
  • Help establish a post partum team if desired
